Hunting California

Any time you are out hunting you need to be prepared for some unusual outcomes. Knowing that there are more than one type of hunter in the woods you should not try to attract a hunter with the sounds of prey as you may not get the reaction to it as you are looking for as this hunter did. If you are hunting for a Coyote then track them and hunt them down instead of a blind trap.

Yup, I was out at Camp Hunter Liggett hunting wild boars with a friend and we saw a cougar in the wild. It was far enough away that it really didn't pose a threat and it didn't even know we were watching it. We watched it for as long as we could until it walked over a ridge and out of our sight and then we just sat there in awe and talked about that. It was one of my greatest hunting experiences and we didn't even fire our weapons.
