Flame retardant chemicals may affect social behavior in young children

Some chemicals added to furniture, electronics and numerous other goods to prevent fires may have unintended developmental consequences for young children, according to a pilot study. Ref. Source 1j.

I am not sold on this. Now if the child is eating your furniture I can see that but if that is the case maybe you should buy some food and actually feed the child. I think further research on this is needed.
