Deborah Ann Burns, 37, allegedly stabbed her lover of six years, Willie Butler, 53, while watching television in their apartment last week.

Burns told police officers that they were fighting for cash when Butler got up to go to the kitchen and farted in her face.

She confronted him and it got ugly, with Butler allegedly throwing a knife at her, which missed.

Burns allegedly grabbed the knife and threw it back at him. The knife hit Butler in the stomach. Source 9

Well this is an argument that got totally out of hand. The fact that he was said to have thrown the knife at her first and missed shows that he needs to be a better knife thrower. She seems to be very good and throwing knives.

I don't think drunk people should throw knives, even when the argument gets out of hand. That is way beyond the response required by someone who is using hurtful words.

I can imagine the police officer(s) that had to write the report of the incident. I would have to bite my lips to avoid laughing. My only question is: were they sitting on their knives or what? How is possible that both of them had long knives at hand if they were just watching tv?
