Earthquake Angeles Los

It struck just east of LA. So far there are no reports of damage. But CNN is going in depth with this now.

It was a good one - we are only 50 miles from the epicenter and we shook for a good 20 seconds. Doesn't sound like long, but when your whole world is swaying, it's a looooooooooong time! They've already had a 3.8 aftershock, too.

Klar, they've been talking about that for decades smile.gif We're always on the verge of an earthquake in this area. We have over 100 every single day between 1 and 3 magnitude. I check this website every day: https://earthquake.usgs.gov/eqcenter/recent...n/N_America.php

There are predictions from some sources who have been reliable in the past saying there is a window for "The Big One" between the beginning of October and mid-December. We just have to always be ready.

I know you have a lot of people who always predict the "big one" is coming. I just wanted to know if I heard from a credible source or not and who better to ask than someone who is there.

I will keep watching and hoping that you stay safe out there. I will remain here in Iowa where the only time the earth moves is when I move it. smile.gif

Well, I don't know who your source was, but anyone who predicts a "big one" in California is bound to be right sooner or later wink.gif

I figure they will be correct sooner or later. We will have to see what the last quarter of this year brings to see if they are right this year. Hopefully they are wrong and california is still connected to the states after the big one. biggrin.gif
