Do you feel that as an Upgraded Member you should have the option to turn off the Top Ads or Topic Ads that you see? Consider the following:

1. Should turning off the Ads be a default or an option for an Upgraded Member?
2. Would you be willing to pay with your FP to keep it off?
3. Do the Ads bother you or do you rarely notice them?
4. Do you think that the Top Ads (the ones we are directly responsible for, not Adsense) are well presented?

I don't mind the banner ads, for the most part. It's only the animated ads that bother me, the text and graphics alone are fine. Probably some paid members may feel they are entitled to turn them off, and I think that's a good feature to encourage someone to donate

I have made this active and so, it is now an incentive to Upgrade. you can see the update in the first thread for the quick link which is also available via the Plus and Platinum pages.

After upgrading, I removed the top banner, mainly because it took away from what I could see when I first load the forum. I like having the ability to remove the banner if I want to, but I also understand the need for having them around.

I actually removed the top banner from mine as well. Not exactly for the same reason but more for it had motion to it on the default red skin and it kept stealing my eyes away from links when I looked for them. I really do like the ability to remove them myself. As with the understanding of their need to be there, "If everyone that joins and can constructively participate as so many can upgrade" then the need would be greatly lessened.

I have not removed mine nor will I. These adds are important to help support this site. I do visit some on occasion after all one can have fun in more then one place.

Though of late I am hitting them by accident.

I can remove them as a upgraded member? I guess that answers that question. I probably will not remove them.

The ads do not bother me. I recognize the purpose of having ads to help support the site. I do not pay alot of attention to them, though if something catches my interest I may give it a look-see.
