MySpace have become a literally house for pedophiles! This is truly sickening. I was hoping that this guy would be behind bars for the rest of his life. Where were the parents of this 12 years old child while this relationship was going on?
QUOTE A jury Thursday found a Saratoga man guilty of 10 counts of lewd acts on a child whom he met on the MySpace social networking site. Anthony Uckele, 24, was also found guilty last week of 10 other similar counts involving the same girl, who was 12 at the time of the crimes. Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Paul R. Bernal declared a mistrial on the remaining 16 charges after the jury deadlocked 11-1 on them. Deputy District Attorney Jim Shore said he is not sure if his office will retry those counts. The 36 charges included lewd acts ranging from touching to intercourse. Uckele faces up to 46 years in prison when he is scheduled to be sentenced Feb. 29. The maximum sentence for all 36 charges was 78 years. "We're hoping the judge will look at his lack of prior adult criminal history," said defense attorney Richard Pointer. Authorities say Uckele, a former West Valley College student, had sex with the girl numerous times during a seven-month relationship, beginning in 2005 when Uckele saw her MySpace page and messaged her. Uckele was 22, but listed his age on MySpace as 16. The girl was 12, but listed her age as two or three years older… Source 1h
