It was a good one - we are only 50 miles from the epicenter and we shook for a good 20 seconds. Doesn't sound like long, but when your whole world is swaying, it's a looooooooooong time! They've already had a 3.8 aftershock, too.

There are predictions from some sources who have been reliable in the past saying there is a window for "The Big One" between the beginning of October and mid-December. We just have to always be ready.

I know you have a lot of people who always predict the "big one" is coming. I just wanted to know if I heard from a credible source or not and who better to ask than someone who is there.
I will keep watching and hoping that you stay safe out there. I will remain here in Iowa where the only time the earth moves is when I move it.
I figure they will be correct sooner or later. We will have to see what the last quarter of this year brings to see if they are right this year. Hopefully they are wrong and california is still connected to the states after the big one.
