49ers' Dwight Clark announces he has ALS

Dwight Clark, the wide receiver in the most famous catch play in 49ers’ history, announced last night that he has amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or Lou Gehrig’s disease. ALS is a terminal neuromuscular condition. His symptoms began in 2015. Ref. Source 8d.

Clark Dwight

It is sad to see someone go through this but when NFL and other sports stars admit to having it I think that helps people donate money to do research to find the cause and then a cure for this disease.
