Cratol will ask the sergeant who two of his best climbers are and then tell him to assault the tower as he and the climbers climb up the outside to attack from the top as the hit from the bottom. Cratol will use the grappling hook outside and head up.

Out of Character: . If Geoffory wants to allow his sister come with Cratol that is fine with me.

Stories Side e Dragons and Dungeons Daishains

Cratol and the other two quietly climb up the tower side. Pausing near the top, they peek over. They can see six orcs gathered near the top of the stairs.

Large chips of stone are scattered about, and iron rods have been driven into various parts of the stonework. It looks like the orcs are prepared to collapse a portion of the tower roof on top of anyone coming up the stairs.

Cratol will climb over the top when they are not looking and then attack. He will use all he has to make this short and sweet and provide a distraction for the others to climb over and attack so the orcs can not collapse the tower roof on those below.

Lia is upset when she heads of this horrific loss of life. Wanting to do something about it she looks to Fay. " Ionneg, do you know anything about these creatures they mention? Is it something that you and I can handle? "

Cratol and the pair with him rush in. The monk soon finds himself sparring off with two large orcs, who prove considerably more difficult now that momentum is no longer on his side.

Two of the orcs, hearing the stamping of feet from below, stay at the stairs and heave on the iron bars, but without the assistance of the others, they are not quite able to break up the roof.

The arrival of reinforcements proves the distraction Cratol needs to down one of his opponents, and then a spear is driven through the other.

Unfortunately, one of the climbers with him was hurled bodily from the tower, but the other held his own long enough for others to reach him.

Cratol's group spends time licking their wounds and scouring the keep for any stragglers, but by the time dawn arrives, it is clear that Redcliffe has been reclaimed.

Lia does not recall much more about catoblepas, save that they often travel in groups, and can be quite dangerous when they do so. What she does remember should make her quite wary of engaging them without the support of the rest of the Blaze. And that of course, is if the creatures in question are what is there, rumor often distorts the truth.

Fay listens to Lia and thinks back on his education for any information about the creatures in question. He scours his memory trying to remember anything he can about these creatures.

Out of Character: The history check is in case there is anything historical that might give us an idea of catoblepas and how they live, if it is likely that they attacked the Halfling village. If not, perhaps the Dragon isn't so far fetched knowing what we know. I added a luck check for each.

Cratol will have the sergeant gather those who have fallen in the battle and lay them in a place of honor for their service in liberating the keep. He will have the sergeant send a runner to fetch a cleric and the Stewart of the keep.
Once the cleric gets there he will have him preform the rites of passage on the ones who have fallen. He will personally go to each man and thank them for the service they have preformed for his family. He will thank the ones who have fallen too.
Once the Stewart arrives he will ask him to hire people to repair and reappoint the keep. He will ask him to let people know the mine can be reopened. He will ask him to see to the daily running of the keep for him and that those of his family that could not lift a hand to help to be cut off from the family funds. He will also ask that his uncle be moved to back to the keep when rooms are ready for him.
Cratol after all of this is handled will head back to the place his uncle is resting in and tell him of his success and that rooms are being readied for him to live the rest of his years out there in the family keep.

She awaits his answer then pulls out the two platinum rings. " I meant to speak with you about this before but other things have my attention. These are the rings that Velon and I were shopping for. He sent his with you to help keep you safe. If you wear this I can cast a spell that makes you much tougher to hit or hurt. If you are hit then your damage will be shared with me which will help you even more. I wanted you to know this for when Velon and I wear these. It will make the team stronger. I have healing abilities and I can easily heal myself of any damage suffered. Would you like to wear one now throughout the rest of our trip? "
