Psychological interventions to cut traumatic memories: Tetris or Candy Crush?
The popular building-block computer game Tetris might be more than an idle pastime that keeps you glued to a screen. Now I won't buy it for depression, but this seems logical. A distraction that is repetitive won't solve all a person's problems, but it could prevent the full onset of a PTSD episode by giving the brain something sufficient to focus on.
I would be curious to see more studies about this.
