I think the use of drone technology in finding people who are lost be a real asset. You can cover a lot of space using a drone in all sorts of terrain. With a mounted cam you can get a good look at anything that could be of interest. Steep ravines and mountains will not be a issue for a drone like it could be for humans.

Yes but with all things that are coming about nowadays you have to hope that the people in control of some of them are honest people who will not be nosey and wanting to spy on people. It is human nature to be curious but if the people respect others privacy then you will not have as many issues. You will have the teen boys using them to spy on neighbor girls laying out in their bikinis just as you will have those who feel they can spy on everyone. It is these that you have to watch out for and take their toys away.

Yes, there is the private citizen angle and I don't like that. What really worries me is the Government. With story about Rice in the news unmasking US citizens. Yeah, she said she didn't leak the info, she just made it possible to be leaked. I have a healthy distrust of Government and these drones are another tool in their arsenal to limit our freedoms.
