It is sad to see people move their money to off shore accounts just so they can avoid paying their fair share of taxes. If you dislike the country that bad and do not want to see it flourish then by all means move your money and then yourself else where.

Yeah, the thing is these people want to keep their money and enjoy the fruits of Ecuador. I've been there and it is a beautiful country. So, these people want to stay but not pay.

Well there is a price for everything. I have never been south of Texas in the western hemisphere so I have not visited there. I would say if they want to stay then they should have to pay.

Agreed, and the thing is that Ecuador is so very inexpensive. There is a growing American retirement community there because of the prices and the pleasant climate. These so called oligarchs are simply being selfish.
