Den quickly pulls his bow out and is able to shoot and kill the goblin that was trying to flee as he opened the door to exit. The goblin is laying in the far doorway. On the table is a severely bleeding elf child. There are two more tied and gagged beyond the crude table that he was using.
Dropping the crowbar I say, "Thomas, Rachel, have you got anything left?" I start pawing through my collection of scrolls, looking for the one of cure light wounds. Damnit, there are only four pages in this case to look through, why can't I find the damn thing!

I curse as more injured children become visible. " Those bastards… " I race to the child that is bleeding. I have one more cure spell left Jason. " I touch the child gently on the head and murmur words of power. Yet again I feel a healing warmth leaving my hand.
Out of Character: : She cast cure light wounds.

Pounding the side of my fist into the wall for a bit, I shut my eyes and try to control my temper again. Focus, calm, you're going to make a mistake if you don't calm.
My breathing slightly steadier, I retrieve my crossbow, go to the door with Dennis, and clear the room beyond.
Assuming we observe nothing that changes matters and there are no hints that more prisoners are elsewhere, I then say in a tight voice, "Hold up, we have to get them out now. The goblins are entirely able to circle around behind us, and if they're waiting on the meat from that one… " I point to the injured child on the table.
Finally retrieving the scroll I'd been looking for before, I hand it to Rachel. "Here, only use it to prevent someone's death. Other than the few cantrips Thomas has on hand, this is the last bit of healing magic we have."
Out of Character: Cure Light Wounds scroll, Rachel should be able to cast from it freely. Note that it is locked in at CL1, so its just 1d8+1 healing.
