I look both doubtful and curious at the consideration, before offering, "It may be that she knows the land better then us, which is why she wants to help. More, if she wishes to offer her assistance… Well if Lord Douglas is okay with it, I say lets do it." Child or not, she may ahve skills we did not.
Still, though I didn't say so I was more then a bit nervous. Generally I was okay with spiders, liking to capture them and even play with the harmless ones, yet a large and monstrous spider was different and I worried such could freak me out. Notably though, I generally tried not to harm a spider if I had the chance, taking it outside if I found it in the house.

I look at the group, "We need the help but protecting them would be very difficult. This could leave us in the same boat we were in previously. I recommend we find the lair as a scouting expedition and do some recon. I think between me and Ghost we can get back on their trail. If we think we can take it down after assessing the situation we do. If not, we can come back here and report. I would rather not risk the children."
"I am afraid I have to agree. Children wandering about giant spider infested woods seems like an obvious prelude to never seeing some of them again."
"Lord Douglas, are we missing something? Why would you contemplate such a course of action?"
He looks to you. (Thomas heard her say it too). "I am not wanting the girl to go spider hunting or any of the older kids but She stated she will go with or without you knowing. She would rather go with you as she says she owes you her life."
I give a nod, having somewhat mixed feelings but offer, "Well I'd much rather her go with us and have our protection, then follow without our knowledge and be all the more likely to get herself into harm's way." I could see the point everyone else was making, but remember how I've put myself in some fairly dangerous situations by use of deception when I was a child and got myself hurt.
Looking to the others I offer shrug before saying, "Honestly, I'm glad she asked permission instead of asking forgiveness. She didn't have to tell that she wanted to go." I look to the girl, I'm giving encouraging smile before finishing, "I say let her come, I'll watch over her." My expression was serious, and I meant those final words.
