Thomas and Rachel look at the sinking stump. While Thomas is not able to tell you much but he hears a sound of what sounds like water dripping below.
Rachel examines it and her senses determine that the area is going to collapse soon. She feels that all the workers need to get out of the area as soon as possible. Like five minutes ago.

Game Role-Playing Character You Dragons and Dungeons

I listen to the urgency in Rachel's command to get out and I echo it. Using the best command voice I can must from my Army days I yell, "Everyone move, now! This place is going to collapse." I grab Rachel and Thomas by the arm as I move as quickly as possible out of the immediate vicinity.

I will fall backwards, trying to get away from the loose ground before scrambling to get up and out of the way. If I can I will grab onto something if I find myself at risk of falling in.

Everyone gets away just in time as the entire area around the dying trees suddenly drops about 30 feet down. The tress that were still standing fall over into the new pit. The stream is now diverted into this pit. You can hear the new formed waterfall hitting down below.

Leaning over the edge while your friends hold you you can see what appears to be some tunnels leading into the area of the collapse but no tunnels lead towards the Stronghold itself. You do not see anything in the tunnels there are three of them one going NW, One going N and one going NE.

Meanwhile at the forge a young elf lady is helping Jason as best she can She smiles and stands very close to him when he is showing her anything as she studies what he is doing.
