When you get to Dennis's place in the woods you find no one there. No signs of a struggle nothing. It is like he was there and then simply was not.

I consider a moment, thinking on what may have happened, before offering the thought, "Maybe he got sent back? That whatever or whoever brought him here no longer desired Dennis to stay." It was a theory at least, though I too would look around to see if I could find any tell tale sign of his whereabouts.
