I smile at Grant as I respond saying, "Thank you Grant. He is amazing. We would all be dead without him most likely. He eased our transition period here."
"Yes, Jason I will stay at my home tonight. This place is nice to visit but isn't the same. That will work out nicely to give them room."

" Hi Thomas. I'm Vickie. I've arrived not to long ago"
My plate sits empty in front of me and my goblet is too." You all have been so kind and making me feel welcome here. I must admit, I am a bit tired. Could one of you show me to a room in which I could get some rest?"
Once I find out if someone will escort me to a room, I bet the Lord and Lady a good night and go to get some rest.
"I sure hope there are some benefits to this forced conscription. There are certainly some immediate down sides."
"Thomas, I'm Grant and a pleasure to meet a Bard of the Dungeons & Dragons style. I've been told I have a decent singing voice, but I doubt it'd be good enough to compare, but I'd love to bring some of our world's songs into this one, and see how they do. I've got a good recall of many of the classics. As far as apnea goes, I had myself tested at one point upon demands from my wife, but proved negative. Apnea is pretty distinct, when you stop breathing while sleeping. So, sad to say, but I snore heavily as well." Thinking for a moment, I continue "Unless one of the physical changes I'm supposed to have has changed that. Jason, how old do you think I look? I'm actually 51, but I've been told I look around 40."
After I receive an answer, I respond "30?!? Well, that's one thing I hope to take back with me!"
Addressing Lord Douglas, I say "Lord, if someone could guide me to a room and clean water, I'd really appreciate it. I'm really starting to drag my tail, with apologies to Ghost."
"Actually, now that I have been made aware of the detail of one stop breathing while sleeping, and in doing some research which shows how this can actually effect the part of the brain in charge of memory, "I will offer, before continuing, "A lot of details have fallen into place, and made sense." Still, perhaps that was neither here nor there and I have seen to be able to going about my life without too much difficulty.
Once Grant and Vikkie were ready to head in, I will say to them, "May both of you have a good night and sleep well, that we may sleep in the morning and get to know each other." I will wave them offer, before looking to the others and Lord Douglas.
I bid the others a good night and follow the young elf to my room. Once inside I thank the young elf, and shut the door. Readying myself for sleep, I remove most of my clothes and crawl into the bed put the covers over me and lay my head upon the pillow. I lay my glasses on the table near by and close my eyes, sleep takes me almost immediately.
Luxuriating in the baths, and slightly curious about the heating system of the keep, I wash up, get dressed in suitable attire, and head to bed. For a bit, I lie in bed dwelling on my wife and children, knowing the agony they are going through with my disappearance. I then slip off the bed and say a Shema in Hebrew, follwing it with English "Please send a healing of the mind to my family, letting them know I am okay, just far away, letting them have peace and comfort in the knowledge that all my efforts are bent to returning as soon as I can." Wiping away a tear, I climb back in, settle my mind, and fall asleep for the night.
During the night Vickie is woken by a persistent knocking on her door. When she gets up and answers the door a bright light envelops her. She feels herself floating and soon is surrounded by a few figures. They are tall and thin but have ne visible ears. They have eyes shaped similar to elves. They do not speak but she understands what they are telling her very well. They instruct her for over two days on how to control things with the mind and to be able to exercise her mind. She learns the power of her mind. After two days she finds herself back in her room under the covers. She sleeps soundly. When the morning comes she opens her eyes and sees that the room is the same as when she first went to bed.
