"Hmm, I wasn't expecting that. Careful what you touch guys, there's a reason ten foot poles are considered standard issue equipment in Dungeons & Dragons games."
I'll look around for a small stone chip or something similar, and toss it so it will skid across the floor. I'll look for anything odd about its path, particularly where it reaches the rug.
If nothing seems out of place, I'll take a closer look.

Looks no warily about the too-clean room, I say “I don’t know about you people, but a clean room in an abandoned cave network screams ‘trapper’ to me.” I poke The rug with my sword, trying to provoke a response.

Vickie walks into the room and begins to look around and the rugs and tapestries. Jason throws a small rock in. It skids to a stop on one of the rugs. As Vickie is studying the rungs and tapestries the rock vanishes. Nothing bad happens to Vickie.
"Well, thank you for acting as a guinea pig Vickie, but I would suggest a little more prudence next time."
"Its not an illusion of the ordinary sort, not a trapper or Vickie would already be in trouble, probably the same story if it would disappear people like that stone. My guess is a permanent cleaning enchantment, still going strong after years of operation, but not a threat. Let's check out the next door."
I grin at Jason and say." Aye, Capin' and give him a salute. I will be more careful from now on."
You will find the next door to be made out of a solid piece of wood with steel bracing along the top and bottom. In the middle of one edge you will see a solid looking steel plate with a handle and a lock. When you try the door it is solidly locked. The lock looks very well made.
