Douglas Nods to you. He indicates to his wife who steps forward one step. The two guards Stiffen some. She looks at Gwthratha and speaks the language you hear from the strangers. They look surprised for a moment then a smile appears on their faces as Doug's Wife continues on speaking to them. Soon you see everyone relax and Gwthratha bends her knees and kneels before Doug and his wife. Her brother and his friend hasten to follow suit. Doug's wife says some other words and the three kneeling subjects seem to chant a reply back to her in unison. She motions them to arise and says something else. With that she turns around and leads them into the stronghold. The guards along with Lywenta follow them in.Douglas turns to you and says, "They are wood elves like my wife. The just reafirmed their way with Nature and the land and all the earth means to them. Please come in and join us for a mid day meal."
I smile, "Thank you Lord Douglas. Food is always welcome." I walk in with Jason to one side and Rachel to the other. "So, tell me about Wood Elves and your impression of them. Was it like Dungeons & Dragons ? What did they say, I couldn't hear it all," I ask in a subdued voice Rachel.
"Never did get a good look at their physical features, but the skin tone and build were right. Probably have black or brown hair under those hoods."
"Somewhat skittish and mistrusting, but at the same time one of them was trying to calm an angry dire wolf, and their mission was to investigate a possible new threat to nature. I'd say they're quite close to the Dungeons & Dragons Wood Elf, which is promising."
"Speaking of that though, Rachel, I strongly suggest working with Ghost on not just rushing off like that. Pretty much any other group would have simply shot him on sight in perceived self defense, and I cannot be sure I would fault them for it. And if it had been a genuinely hostile group, he left us in a poor position to support him."
Out of Character: P.S Not sure if extra languages known are 'active' yet Kn, but for future reference Jason the character knows Elvish, along with Draconic, Dwarven, and Celestial.

Out of Character: You do not get extra languages as of yet. You only get the language you came here with the others you will have to find a way to learn. You will not automatically be able to have a new language pop into your head *smile* Such is the way of playing yourself.
When you get to the Dinning hall you see that there is cold water, and an assortment of bread, berries, Nuts and fresh fruit. There is no meat to be found. Everyone is grabbing food and sitting to talk and eat.

I take a seat beside the others. Speaking in a quiet voice" You're right Jason. He caught me totally off guard taking off like that. More training is needed. I'm just glad it all turned out so pleasant. " Smiling I build my plate with everything but the bread. " It is so much easier to eat healthy here. No harmful chemicals and everything is organic. No fast food. "

I mostly stock up on water, fruit and bread. In response to the budding druidess' comments, "Its nice, but it also comes with poor sanitation and inefficient agriculture techniques that use up more land that could have been left to the wild, and force around 50% of any given human population to work full time feeding the rest… Don't forget there's a price for everything Rachel."
Damn it all, I'm doing it again, "Um, sorry, I slip into lecture mode sometimes. This was a better start than I expected to our adventures to be honest."
I smile at Jason, "Did yo expect we'd die?" I say with a grin. I eat some fruit and put a piece of cheese on my plate. "Or just be captured and sold to Orc slavers? In truth, this was perfect for us. We reacted well. Our training showed. We worked as a team. Rachel, don't be afraid to use your magic if you have anything that can help. Of course, that club seems to help quite well anyway. Now, we had best not get cocky."
