I hear a rumble from Ghost moments before the strange creatures burst onto the scene. My mouth gapes open in surprise until I hear Jason. Nodding I urge Ghost forward. We barrel into the rear creature from the side with a lot of momentum. I strike furiously with my club while the dire wolf rips and tears at it's flesh.
I will need more attack rolls for Qwantithalica since you only rolled once for her.
Just so you all understand the horses you are riding are not war trained horses and the horses are working very hard at getting away from the Bulettes. While the Elves are not on the menu the horses and the rest of you are looking like nice steak dinners to the Bulettes.
I hear Jason call out about the threat ahead, and I come around a small bend and head to the right into the underbrush. I then focus on the enemy and aim my fire ray at them and then arm and fire my bow at them as well.
I stand perfectly still, sword arm stiff and pointed down, until I can make out the trails of the two bullets heading our way. I'll wait until they surface and as ordered, engage the one not engaged my Ghost and Rachel.
I still need a party order. To help you were on some sort of game trail that mostly you were riding single file but at time you could spread out some to almost two abreast. Those out in front will take the brunt of the attack. You will have one round of range attack before the Bulettes are at the front rank. Those at the front will them be in Melee combat.
Out of Character: - If one round is all we get, I'll dismount first and send the horse off before shooting the bow then switching to sword. Standard marching order for me was 2nd rank. If there is room, I'll move up beside Jonathan in round 2.
Out of Character: Yes just one round of shooting as they came up from the ground pretty close to the party. If it was not for Ghost and the elves you would have been possibly surprised.
In Game: Round one. Lots of shooting takes lace as Ghost and Rachel attack the second one. Every one misses with their attacks with ranged weapons except a couple of the teen elves B hits with a acid arrow. Rachel Hits for 6 damage and ghost hits for 5 damage. Thomas runs and hides behind a tree behind the elves.
Round two - A lot more misses as Jonathan and Grant switch to melee weapons and engage the lead Bulette. It misses Grant with its bite but barely. B hits it again with a acid arrow as one of the elf boys hits it with a arrow. Rachel is able to hit the second one again for 6 damage but ghost misses as he gets bit by the Bulette for 13 damage. Thomas is still hiding.
Round three Grant, Jonathan and Jason miss again. The Bullette by Grant misses and the one by Ghost and rachel misses. Travis Vickie Rachel Q and Ghost all miss. B hits with acid again and one teen hits with a arrow Thomas is still behind a tree.
Round four Grant Jonathan and Jason miss. The lead bullette bits Grant for 23 damage the second one bits ghost for 17 damage. Travis, Vickie, Rachel, Ghost and Q all miss. B tosses a magic missile at the lead bulette. While another teen hits the creature.
I will need four more attack/damage rolls or special actions if any. Note: Jonathan your maneuvers do not include a hit roll so therefore you attacks miss. I would still need attack and damage rolls from you.
