I would get a good night as well, or again as good as I could ever get. Still, I do think I was starting to feel the additional activity making a difference. Certain things are starting to become a little bit easier, and I was starting to feel a bit more energized during the day.

I'd enter the dining hall, seeing a few of the others as well Lord Douglas. As I get closer, I thought I heard mention of Vickie's name, who wasn't here yet. Looking to the others I ask, "Is everything okay?" I hope there was nothing to be concerned of.

I shrug, "Okay then, how about we mosey on over to the inn. We can see for ourselves how it is coming along, and if Vickie is there, so much the better."

Everyone heads towards the inn to see if Vickie is there. As they are heading over they see Vickie coming out of the inn dressed in her armor and carrying her saddlebags as she looks to be ready to head out with you.

Saying this, I go back with the others to finish our prep to leave, including one of the extra horses that we acquired to hold gear we get. Once we are all gathered and leaving the Keep, I'll trigger my 'Camper's friend' device, and bask in the comfortable temperature it provides as we travel.

Once we've reunited with Vickie, I look around to make sure everyone seems ready to go, "Here we go again, lets try to keep Jon from almost dying this time shall we? Teasing the grim reaper seems unwise."

Out of Character: Travis, you can craft on the road, it takes twice as long as doing so in a more comfortable environment, but its better than leaving all the work undone while traveling. Here's a resource I made to help keep track of this stuff. Source 1q

For what you need for scrolls just check out the second table on the first page, ignore the columns concerning UMD check and failure chance, that's related to my class' weird approach to this stuff, and not something you need worry about.

Note that a "Day" of crafting is 8 hours. You can fit a lot of basic 1st level scrolls into such a time period if you're willing to pay the cost. However, you can only craft one magic item in a single day period, so the best use of your time is to make a scroll with multiple castings of the same spell.

Travis, checks in with his two mares, stocks up with a weeks worth of standard rations, and 0.5 gallons of water. Will take out the healthier of the two, for the journey. For the horses nutrition, 3.5 lb of oats.

For crafting scrolls, half a dozen parchment sheet's, 3oz ink vials, and ink pens. Allowance in gold of 38gp per 1st level spell scribe attempt.

He will speak to both Lord Augustus, and Jason regarding receiving an allowance in gold to accomplish this.

Out of Character: Will do the crafting attempt on the journey, during rest periods. Worked out his die roll, at D20+9 per attempt.

I make sure Travis has what he needs, a steady supply of healing scrolls and other divine spells would be quite useful.

Out of Character: Travis, I am really not sure where you are getting your numbers from, but the crafting cost for a simple 1st level spell scroll is only 12.5 gp, not 38. In addition, there is nothing you need to roll so long as you meet all the crafting requirements, which you do.

Also, lord Douglas might not appreciate being called Augustus.

Make sure to be clear how much you spend so we can keep track of it.
