I shrug, "Adamantium it is then. I don't have enough mithral for a set of full plate anyways, so we would have to find or buy materials either way. There is just barely enough mithral left for one last breastplate. Adamantium is heavy and expensive, but it's very good at what it does."
Out of Character: If we have to buy it all, materials for ada full plate would be a whopping 8,250 gp. However, compared to normal full plate, it has 1 less ACP, is much tougher to break, and grants DR 3/-, so 3 less damage on pretty much any attack endured, magical or mundane. It is almost the tankiest of tanky armors. Pretty much the only thing that would beat it on that scale, would be adamantium mechanus gear. It has an AC of 10 rather than 8. However, that would reduce your speed all the way down to 15, and would prevent you from adding your plus-one dexbonus to the AC, somewhat limiting the benefit. So I'm not sure if I would recommend it.

Heading back to my room to pick up my stuff I have a moment of inspiration to use the hooks in my bag to hang up my shield and make a makeshift altar to Bahamut when I get back.
Out of character: yeah none of that immediate need right now, we still have the suit we took from the Orcs being resized. I don't know how much time's going by but he said he'd be 3 weeks.
Ghost and I arrive back in the stronghold late that evening. After a warm bath I head to the dining hall. I will have a light dinner with any of my companions that are present. After being informed of the departure in the morning I will head to my room. Once things are packed to my satisfaction I will attempt to get a good night's sleep.
Having a nice dinner in the Hall; I hear from Jason that we will be heading out in the morning. I look a bit saddened by the thought but know it has to be done. I will spend as much of the remaining time with Kelvin. Then get a good nights rest and in the morning ready myself for the trip.
Content with the announcement of the breaks end, I enjoy that evenings dinner with everyone, even to the point of learning some of the inhabitants songs and singing with them.
“As long as we keep our heads, we can handle those hobogoblins in small packs. It’s the big packs that are trouble!”.
Two strands of silk twine propel a shuttlecock forward with an audible snap. This in turn rapidly accelerates a thick quarrel towards the end of my new crossbow. The bolt flies through the air and lands quivering in the target, if near the edge. Fifty yards away, I am using a table and chair to stabilize the new weapon as best as possible while I adjust the sights.
I grin broadly as the next bolt lands considerably closer to the center. Just a little more…
I show up to meet the others with a large and strange-looking crossbow strapped to my back. A pair of thin metal bows at the front attach to a part that slides along a channel inside of the thick frame. An angled foregrip, clearly modeled after ones from Earth, pumps back to draw the bow strings using a series of gears.
"Everybody ready to go? It could get rough out there today, so watch each other's backs."
Out of Character: if people want a visual reference, look up Bianca from Dragon Age. What I have in mind is slightly lower profile and less ostentatious, along with a few mechanical differences, but it's close enough to get the idea. For anyone who is wondering, the new weapon is a Masterwork Great Crossbow with a crossbow sight and a wand chamber. Should be pretty potent, especially when I get a good wand to stick in that chamber. The primary catch at this point is that it takes a move action to reload, and that is with the rapid reload feat. When I get a chance to enchant the thing, I'll be able to fix that and bring the reload down to a free action
P.S. I would like to see people stepping up a bit more in terms of deciding what to do. I ended up as the leader of this group for a couple of different reasons, but I would prefer to hear other voices when it comes to decisions rather than everybody just accepting whatever I happen to suggest first. Heck, both in and out of character, I would be perfectly happy to step down and let somebody else take the reins if they are both capable and willing.
In the morning, Travis commences his usual rituals. Tending, to his mare grooming her, and giving her a feed.
Washing, himself, then heading down to the dinning room for a hearty breakfast.
After breakfast, finnishing up his scroll making exercises. In preparation for the partys next expedition.
