As dawn breaks and I get ready for the day, I ponder the likelihood on what we will encounter on the road. Gathering up my gear and packing it, then heading to the dining hall for a hearty breakfast. Afterwards, I curry Echo and the secondary, readying for the next scouting trip. As we gather our group together, I work a little bit on the magic broach, planning to finish it today.
Out of Character: - Jason, I guess because you were the first here in this universe, we naturally let you make the choices for our travels. I've never really looked the world map over to see if there is something we should be doing different, and my character isn't focused so much on this world. My motivation is to get home to my family as the main thread of my personality, even though it's not regularly stated.

Wishing once again that we had more than one Scout for this, I send Ping North with instructions to survey the area. His primary goal is to give us an idea of where and how the forces in the area are distributed and what they are up to. With a little luck, we should be able to start picking the hobgoblins off in relatively small groups.

"Rachel, Thalica, think you can range on ahead? I would like you to keep our path clear, and if you can, deal with any scouts of theirs. Don't get so far away that we can't assist you if needed however."

After eating a light breakfast I load my gear in my backpack and mount Ghost. I grin at the others as everyone is preparing for the journey as well." Well here we go again. Once more into the breach as Den loved to say." My appearance is a little different as I applied the blush and lip gloss this morning that I so recently purchased. I feel better about things as I'm able to have a few of the comforts of home.

At Jason's direction I nod at Thalica." Sounds like fun." I ride out ahead with her to make sure the party will have a clear path."

The Learner says...

I awake the next morning and do my meditation like I normally do, I spend a bit longer on this morning in a silent prayer that our efforts will be favorable and that we all stay safe as we travel.
I then put on my armor and head to the stronghold for a nice breakfast.
Upon seeing Rachel and her offer for the cosmetics I apply a nice lip gloss and a light blush. It was nice to be able to have some color to my face once again.
I then get Easy Spirit ready to go and meet up with the group and the gate to head out. I follow in my normal place in the order of the scouting group.

Riding out with the party, I keep a share eye out while still enjoying the simple, untrammeled nature around us. Especially wary of another band of hobgoblins, I keep my ears, eyes and nose open to anything unusual.

I stay back and focus on the group's immediate surroundings and watch the others, including the animals, for ques of danger, but I don't let that stop me from enjoying the fresh air and scenery.
