Now that Allen is back among us, we'll continue on to the stronghold, and inform Lord Douglas of the new developments.

I'll excuse myself as early as feasible to seek out my bed.

The group has no issues getting to the stronghold and informing Lord Douglas of the events. He will tell you that ridding the den or Goblins is most important and you should head back as soon as possible to make sure it is clear. That way they can not get re-enforced. Or escape to let others know there is a hostile force here and a goblin invasion occurs.. He will greet Allen and a room one floor above yours will be assigned to him.

Thomas turns his flashlight on and seeing that he has wandered a bit in the dark from the stream. He hobbles his way back towards it and soon is heading in the right direction again. He does find a small group of trees that he can squeeze into as a relatively safe place to sleep the night.

Those that leveled up make sure you roll for more HP. I do not accept 1s on HP rolls either. Rachel needs to level up Ghost too.

The Storyteller says...

Glad to have reoriented myself and gotten back near the stream, I decided not to press my luck on finding the trees since it was clear I wasn't given any more. As I begin getting settled, I will make sure to find a place to safely set my laptop and turning off my phone once everything was in place.

With a sign and a mutter I say, "Well lets see how sleep overtakes me and if the dawn can come soon enough." Out of everything though, I make sure my ankle is in the most comfortable position. Hopefully it would feel a bit better in the morning and I could walk without too much issue and thanked the gods that I didn't fall into the stream or hurt myself more.

*I actually decide to have a small conversation with Lord Douglas. I also use this time to get a sense of the one to whom I would be calling my employer for the time being. I ask as just a starting point.* "I heard you have a Library here. How would I go about getting permission to browse its knowledge? Currently my skills in martial arts is a bit rusty, but I feel I would be better able to help the group as a whole by learning as much as I can about this world and what it may potentially have in store for us. Then there is also my favorite topic to research, Dragons."

Specific Action: As I am having a small conversation with the Lord I am going to try and get a sense for him. I am going to Roll a Sense motive only for getting a general idea about the being I am chatting with and that includes any potential hidden motives I can pick up on. This is partly due to my natural emphatic nature and my natural ability to just read another's aura. If it is not Sense Motive, please correct me.

As much as I would like to remain with the others and prepare, my body insists that food and rest is a more immediate requirement. After hunting down something to eat, I'll retire to bed early.

I relax as we reach the fortress. " We made it. Somehow. Now it is time to recuperate. I will see you all very soon. " I head to my room and remove my armor. Then I will go to wherever a bath is available and relax in there. I head up to my room now feeling much better. Crawling into my bed I'm asleep almost immediately. Ghost sprawls out at the foot of the bed and watches over me.

I'm tired, but it appears I've been elected to help Allen. After introductions I ask Lord Douglas if I can show Allen around and if he can use the library. On the way I relate everything I've learned about this world. If it is okay, I take Allen to the library last and let him have at it. "Allen, good luck in here. I'm tired, hungry, dirty, and tired… did I already say that?" I say with a grin. "I'm going to leave you to it."

With that, I leave Allen and find something to eat, even if I have to visit the kitchens. Once finished I fill a basin with hot water, bathe to the sweet sound of Jason's snores in our shared room, and then wonder how I'm going to fall asleep with that infernal rack.... sleep.gif

Out of Character: So, what are we going to do about sleeping arrangements?

Jason heads to bed as Rachel asks about a bath. Lywenta will take her to another part of the stronghold where she will lead her into a disrobing chamber. "I can use a bath myself." She removes her robes and hangs them on some pegs. She takes off some jewelry and then opens a inner door. Inside is a tiled room with some steaming water in a square pool. Lywenta walks to the edge and steps in. Rachel when she gets there sees steps leading down into the water and then some stone benches under the water along the edges for one to relax in the hot water. It is hot but not scalding hot. Think of a nice warm hot tub. Lywenta will show her there the scrubbing sands are at as she washes her body and hair. Soon she is relaxing in the water a bit before standing up and leaving the pool. She stops and gathers a towel that is on a rack behind the entry door. Rachel will find the towels soft and big.

Thomas wakes up in the morning feeling a bit rested but finds himself with numerous bug bites. He is sore and tired from the less than idea conditions but his ankle feels a bit better. It is tender but he is able to limp along. He sets out heading down stream after about three hours as the second sun comes up he finds a road along a field that is being cleared of some trees. Off to the right (East) he can see a stronghold that he recalls from his dream.
