We do have one big advantage in dealing with such a creature, namely the sheer number of attacks a group this size can focus on a single target. If a decent percentage of the attacks land, we can deplete HP very fast. If I can fit in a few minutes to get some infusions rolling, we can slap some more advantages onto the encounter to help. Bane: Dragons enchantments for a start, a Bless spell to increase everyone's odds of hitting, etc.
If it is a dragon, a lot depends upon the age category. We can probably kill a young adult if we leverage our strengths well, but we would almost certainly take many casualties. Younger than that would be, well, not easy prey but not likely to defeat us either. Anything much older than that and our only chance becomes managing to hide. (Or successfully negotiating with it somehow, but that seems ever so slightly unlikely.).
No comment here. I'll let kN enjoy building the tension.
On an unrelated note.... .what happens if our character dies? We can't really just roll up a new one since the whole point of this game is to play ourselves. I've been wondering about that for a while.
KN, those reflex saves should be one lower. I used my relex save instead of the eagle form I'm currently in.

Did you miss my roll kn? I rolled a 16 to identify. 23 if karcana helps.
I should note that if it is a dragon or any manner of magical beast, that is indeed the skill you're supposed to use.
Also, do I have a clear line of sight on the last Hobgoblin? How far off is he? Trying to work out range penalties to keep shooting at him.

Yes I messed that roll I guess that means that you would have noticed it was a black dragon chasing her of adult size. You would not notice whether it was young adult, Adult or older adult.
As far as the Hobgoblin is concerned he is still within sight and bow range.
What I wouldn't give for a pile of shivering touch Scrolls to pass out right now… not to mention resist energy
Okay, how slow would we have to go in order for me to be able to sit in the saddle and work a couple of infusions without having to make concentration checks? I think only a Gallop is guaranteed to do that, but it is largely up to Dungeon Master judgment.
