Yeah seriously. He never heard of the twin towers, hardly knew anything about foreign countries a serious country bumpkin that did not have a lot of knowledge of the outside world.

Why didn't he know about the WTC, the Twin towers? They were completed in the early 70s and they were the tallest buildings in the world. That was all over the TV when they were topped off. He should know about that… unless he didn't have a TV... Which I guess is possible.

We had a tv but only got local channels and at that time I was big into reading and did not watch much tv.
All in all I did not learn about the twin towers until I was in the military.

That is outstanding! I love that story. We only got local channels too, but we lived in NJ by then so it was all over the TV. You couldn't turn on the TV without hearing about it.

You guys have your work cut out for you in this latest endeavor. I haven't been actually drunk in a very long time, and avoiding it is something of a point of pride at this point. Not in the sense of drinking being a prior problem, just not a fan of screwing with my own head.

I'm looking forward to your efforts at persuading "Me" though. Should be amusing regardless of which way it goes.
