Well, its a +2, but I wasn't accounting for the breastplate when I offered it before. 17 AC ought to be plenty for what Thomas gets up to, as opposed to the 12 I thought he had before. With that, everyone in the group is at either 17 or 18 AC, so the ring probably ought to go to one of the front liners.
How about, instead, Thomas takes up the ring of invisibility? He is the only one in the group that doesn't regularly take an offensive action, so its effect would last longer on him than the others.
Bear in mind, this would be with the understanding that if we send out a forward scout, that scout would be taking the invisibility ring.

Hmm, sure we could do that. I can hold onto the ring of invisibility and someone else can use the ring of protection. Then, whoever is scouting can use the ring.
Right then. The invisibility provided is broken as per the description of the Invisibility spell, so you just playing Inspire Courage or casting a buff won't make you visible again. It will last all day, and can be turned back on if broken as much as you want, the only catch is that it takes a Standard action to turn on.
In the meantime, even if they can pinpoint you by voice or anything else, they've got an extra 50% shot to miss.
So yeah, enjoy.
P.S. Bonus points if you start spouting some of Bilbo Baggins' lines at appropriate times. .

You would not know until you tried it. Any potion has the ability to either enhance, neutralize or cause adverse reactions to each other. The only ones I do not use the potion rules on is healing type of potions such as CLW, CMW, CSW and healing.
