This is a reminder that as you earn experience you start each level at Zero experience. Once you level up any exes experience left over after what is needed to level up does go to the next level but the experience to reach the new level is gone. So for example. You get 2,000 exp to reach level 2 you need 1,000 thus that 1,000 is gone and you have 1,000 left over to get to level 3. Then you get another 2000 experience this gives you a total of 3,000 exp enough to make level 3. You would not be a level 3 with Zero experience. You soon get another 2,000 exp so you are a level 3 now with 2,000 exp towards level 4. Just a reminder.
To get divine spells they would have to be written down. A Druid can write the spells out on a scroll if the have a create scroll feat to be able to write the spells down same a cleric can if the have the create scroll feat. You never know what you will find out in the unexplored areas and possible towns.
So with her not having the create scroll feat she can't do it I assume? I guess the archivist power potential is dependent on what is available. They could know a vast array of spells or just a handful.
.
Just like the wizard, the archivist does learn spells on their own, 2 per level. So yes, their power is somewhat dependent on what is available, but they're not helpless if the scroll supply is scant.
Dont forget though, if there's something particularly nifty for him to learn, I could make a scroll of it myself.
Jason, I thought Artificer scrolls were neither wizard nor cleric and couldn't be used to scribe from? You could make a mint selling spells to the keep's wizards! . Anon, Jason is right about you getting 2 spells into your 'spellbook' for your level gain, for free.

I don't recall that rule, but it makes sense, Okay then, perhaps that isn't directly an option.
It should still be possible for me to make a scroll Travis can learn from, I just have to get a druid or cleric who knows the spell to help rather than mimicking the spell with my own stuff as usual.
