That could certainly be interesting. Deviate from history, and see (A guess of) how events are impacted by the change.
That would be extremely hard on the Dungeon Master though, especially if one is looking for accuracy.

History Person Famous Role-play
True, it would be a guess of what the outcome would be, really pure speculation… but it sure could be fun. Well, at least to me.
Rather off topic, but...
Where you are into engineering, I'm into history. I love it. My dream was opening a bookstore where I sold old books, had old leather furniture, people could sit around and read the books before buying while sipping on bourbon or port I sold for a hefty markup. I'd be there every day reading this or that book on history.
