Yes it is very sad that people can keep taking plea deals to reduce their sentences so that they can continue to keep living their lives the way they like as their victims suffer from all they have done to them. I think that many of our courts are so over burdened by so many law suits that real harmful people are able to keep getting over on the system and keep abusing others over and over again with a slap on the wrist. Too many times we have seen cases like this where the one responsible got a very light or no sentence leaving the victims wondering if they will ever receive justice for what was done to them. We need a change.
The sad part is I have gone into houses and pulled men off women as they were beating them just to see the woman jump on my back and start to beat on me as I placed the man in handcuffs and removed them from the home. I always seemed to be back at the house again a couple other times and have to endure the same thing. The nice thing about being in the military I did not go back to the same house after three times. I had more powers then and after the third time he was not allowed contact with her unless supervised with command permissions. Usually he was on his way out of the military with a discharge under less than honorable conditions. This is why I dislike those who beat women or abuse them as that is just not right.
A lot of women go through what Neha Rastogi went through. Some live to tell about it and others still keep it a secret. Next time you see a woman in distress think about Neha Rastogi and be kind.

Yes, and this happened in the US. In other parts of the world it's worse, much worse. The Middle East is a prime example. Women have few rights there and men treat them like dogs… and I mean that quite literally. It was very hard to watch without being able to intervene while I was in the Army.
