'Extinct' volcano near Rome rumbles to life

RESEARCHERS have found a volcano that was long thought to be extinct to be alive and well and it's located just 30km from Rome. Ref. Source 3c.

Many will like to see it become a large volcano and smother Rome, they will call it a sign. I will be monitoring this but I feel it will just be a shallow volcano.

It could be like Pompeii only further away.

More likely that instead of an eruption, the fissures running from the cone will come over flowing with magma and lava. This would then cause "Swarm" earthquakes as the earth's crust shifts on top of the magma pool.

Swarm earthquakes are interesting to say the least but I do not see how this active volcano will cause that as it being a bit farther away for others that are active.
