YES! duh that is exactly what USA is hell bent on. Are the people ok with this? NO
The government has gone crazy and is making decisions that the Americans are not OK with. If you ask the average American if they are convinced that America is acting in the way that they would accept. Probably 90% or so would say NO! We are not in control of our government, they are making decisions without us. God help this world, maybe things will work out alright but, USA is no longer the USA that it pretends to be!

I believe countries such as the US have a lot more that happens behind closed doors than you would think. The government has the power to make the public see things one way through the media and such and the citizens will believe what the man in the suit on the microphone says 100%. Truth is the government filters what we see and will go to great efforts to hide things.
For example one phone call and they can create another 9/11 event and plaster it all over the media so we do not notice that at that same time they are dumping nuclear waste into Mexico. And then they blame it on a 3rd world country that is rich in resources because they have an idea for a good marketing scheme.
The sad truth is the government will kill a few hundred innocent citizens without hesitation in order to have conquer more land, and become more rich and powerful and make it all look justifiable.

This has seemingly become more of a trash on America than the question of, "is America trying to be the world leader".
Yet, even as an American. I would have serious questions against any country with our arrogance.
Beyond that I would say our country is completely out of control. We have no real grasp on anything it seems at this point! Not even a really good lie or false explantation! Hopefully this will force our government to finally tend to the real issues at hand.
Along with the election of Barack Obama and the wakening of America on these many important issues. Perhaps we can turn this ship around, or at least avoid the ice berg in front of us (reference Titanic).
To put it in short and in perspective, I would correlate America (at this point in time) with being a molester who convinced you, that you were the guilty one.

Two Weeks of Great Clarity
If you prize clarity, then these past weeks were some of the best in memory. 1. When America leads, the world is better. For the first time in eight years, the allies of America and the world’s decent people celebrated America’s return to leadership. Just about all of them understand that if the United States doesn’t exercise its power, the worst regimes on Earth will. The left claims to care about the downtrodden of the world, but this concern is a moral fraud. The downtrodden the left most care about are American blacks, women and gays. And Palestinians. But these groups… Ref. Source 1q.
Showing the world that we will not back down to terroristic threats or allow a leader to abuse their people or launch missiles at another is a good way of showing that America is still a major world power. After 8 years of Obama not doing anything except to promote terrorism in the world it is good to have a president that will flex Americas muscles.
Again, consider the source, as I've said on some of the sources on the left; this one is on the right. It isn't wrong nor is it false news, but it is quite a bit of opinion too. There are definitely allies who are happy with our actions over the last few weeks. There are some that are nervous too.
Most of our allies are appalled at Trump's decisions since his inauguration, not that they were happy with him before either. There are exceptions of course, but the world isn't exactly applauding his actions.
At the same time, his attempted bans and anti muslim rhetoric seem almost calculated to fan flames over in the Middle East, sending moderates flocking to join the extremists. Being more willing to bomb the heck out of said extremists doesn't change it being a big problem.
I wouldn't say this article is entirely false. But I will say it has very little to do with the truth.
