This is a sad case and I think the officer should have been fired or at least put on a leave of absence due to shooting into a car that was not being pulled over or in way involved in with a police officer. Police officers can not just shoot into a moving car willy-nilly without knowing who is in the car and whether or not they area threat to the officers or another's life.
Roy Oliver, 38, the former Dallas-area police officer who shot and killed Jordan Edwards last year, was sentenced to 15 years in prison late Wednesday. Oliver fatally shot Edwards, 15, after responding to a house party in suburban Dallas in April 2017. Ref. USAToday.
