I hope that this young lady is found safe and alive. The fact that she had two back packs with her makes one wonder why she needed two? Was she planning on leaving for a few days and had some extra clothes and stuff with her?

Well this case just got very complicated very quickly. I am thinking she went willingly with the man as she did have two back packs. I think she did not plan on being left in the house with two others. I am glad that she is alive and safe now.

So, this is one of the dangers of the internet. I read that authorities didn't know if she went willingly… that makes no difference. She was target by predators. The fact she is only 14 is enough. Our brains are still forming and we tend to make bad decisions in our teen years. It is our job to protect children during this time. The internet makes that job a heck of a lot more difficult.

I hope this girl recovers from her ordeal, mentally, physically, and emotionally.

Yes I understand that but if she went willingly it changes a lot of the case. Now you can not charge anyone with kidnapping or abduction if she was an willing partner in leaver her house and getting in a car she knew was going to be there for her. The only issue now is the rape or sexual assault and transporting across state lines without parental consent. The one who drove her to Ohio can not be charged with much and possibly only a fine if he is charged at all. Those in the house are in much more serious trouble.

I believe if she is underage and they take her across states lines whether she agrees to it or not it is still kidnapping. I believe it is then called child abduction or something similar but it still caries a felony charge. It's much like when a parent abducts a child from the court ordered caregiver, the child may want to go with the parent but that doesn't matter, they are too young to make that decision. I could be wrong here, but I think this still applies due to her age.

Yes that can be the case but you have to look at the states laws in regard to age of consent. I do not see them calling this an abduction as of yet so there may be other facts about this that we are unaware of right now as they authorities are building the case against these three men.

I think they should be punished harshly by doing this to a girl that is only 14 as they are adults and should be there to help protect out youth not take advantage over them.
