Your Favorite Things About Outer Space
What are some of your favorite things about the study of outer space and extra terrestrials?
Some of the pictures that come out of Hubble are absolutely awe-inspiring. I love those. The other thing is SETI, which I find both amazing a scary. I mean, if were to find ETs, who knows if they'd be friendly? Maybe they need slaves… and us dumb humans work in a pinch. Maybe they need a planet to mine for it ores… and the indigenous lifeforms are simply pests to exterminate. Or, maybe they are benevolent beings and we learn more than we ever dreamed possible… who knows?
I like the fact that there are other world and other experiences waiting for man out there. What other things can we find what other forms of life can we find. The possibilities are very open and potentially limitless. Imagine a world where we go from star system to star system exploring and enjoying the wonders that this universe can give us.
I love the potential that is out there in space. There is so much of it, and we know a small amount of things. We have learned a lot in the last 50 years, of course, but there is much more! I also find it fascinating that the stars you are looking at in the sky are in the past. It's amazing.
