NSA says it was not origin of ransomware that hit Microsoft's Windows. The National Security Agency has an answer to Microsoft blaming it for the attack that hit 150 countries. Ref. USAToday.

Ransomware attack is why we can't have security backdoors, say privacy advocates. Cybertools allegedly stolen from the NSA were used to craft the WannaCry ransomware. Ref. Source 5q.

Yes, I see their point here. No matter how well yo try to conceal a backdoor, someone will eventually find it. More, if that back door leaks out for any reason it could be a catastrophe.
