Wireless Charging

Wireless charging is a great idea. So why hasn't it happened? Dream scenario or pipe dream? Charging your phone and electronics without plugging them in. Ref. Source 3l.

This would be truly awesome and it would be liberating. But I have a few concerns. Who pays for this and how. And by pay there is the fee for the equipment, installation, maintenance, and the energy use. Next, are thee any health issues from all this energy emanating around us?
