I would add to the list rompers and man buns. I don't care if they are the latest thing. I would not date a guy wearing either of those.

Okay, sorry but I use cargo shorts when I go hiking and the weather is warm. But a) I'm not looking for a date, b) all of my pockets do serve a purpose, and c) I am actually better than MacGyver and Indiana Jones, together, multiplied by three and then squared. The rest I agree with.

Kyrroeth, I actually had to look up rompers. Uh, you wouldn't catch me dead in those. I'd kill something, skin it, and wear the pelt before I'd put those on.

I never wear cargo shorts, but that's only because in the situations where I need pockets like that, I never wear shorts, period.

Doesn't matter how hot it gets, I always wear long pants and thick boots on the trail. That still leaves cargo pants of course, but generally speaking I'm in the same boat as Abn there, sans the boastful comparison to macguyver. .

As to rompers, blech.
