I take it you haven't played such games before?
If so, fifth edition Dungeons & Dragons would be the easiest to learn among the games we have ongoing. As it happens, there is a 'seat' open in my 5E game. Fair warning, it may take a bit before I have a chance to introduce a new player character.
There is also the forum text RP game, Ruler of Kings. But it looks like you've already gotten started there.
