Was she required to tell them every job she held in her past? I mean, if she lied on her employment documents then I guess shoe could be terminated. That calls her truthfulness into question and as an armed officer of the law she needs to be truthful. But if there isn't anything that required her to tell anyone about this then this shouldn't be a reason to do anything to her.

She probably would have been asked if there was anything in her past that was questionable enough as to bring her position as a deputy in disrepute. If she kept that hidden it would have been wrong. If she just said "I was an actor" but not elaborating that would have also been wrong. Its ashamed that she can't continue her work but when it comes to court cases it could be used against her.

I'm sure she's going to be under a lot of scrutiny but I'm glad for this woman. If she didn't do anything wrong and she also didn't lie on her entrance paperwork then I believe she should be able to start work as a sheriff.
