Comments: I do not think people are aware about autism. I was having a discussion with somebody about a child you could not speak. And is only learning to speak now that he has been placed I a regular school. He does not show all the other signs like spinning, lining up toys of spinning wheels. Maybe he is borderline. Anyway he's parents have never mentioned anything like autism and I do not want to ask. Anyway the person I was speaking with could not even pronoune the word properly I had to tell her "Autism" this shows that the knowledge is not there). She does not know whether there is an awareness centre in Sierra Leone. But I am making an effort to find out and see if this child can get some help.
