40-year math mystery and four generations of figuring


In 1977, Princeton mathematician Paul Seymour made a conjecture about certain large graphs. Nearly 40 years later, mathematicians have come up with a proof he was right. The conjecture is 13 words long; the proof covers 120 pages of math reasoning Ref. Source 8u.
