Arctic Warfare Combat

Cold weather fighting is not something to take lightly. In the cold environment you have to make sure your gear is in top shape for it to function in the cold. The arctic region is like the desert giving the advantage to the dug in soldiers. If you are advancing you will be exposed and depending on the conditions a easy target. Using the weather to advance is the best scenario here.

KN is all over it here too. This environment is much like the desert and just as hard if not harder on men and material. A few things to plan for are hypothermia, frostbite, and dehydration. The last is something most people don't realize but the threat of dehydration is as great in the arctic as it is in the desert, and maybe worse. I say that because in the desert you feel yourself sweating and know to drink but in the arctic the environment is usually very dry, almost no humidity, and it wicks your fluids away quickly. But it does it insidiously, so you don't realize you need to drink water until you're dehydrated.
