I was watching a documentary about the amount of open prostitution of children there is going on in Cambodia. It is to point of an epidemic and is largely based on poverty. Mothers and fathers selling their children for sex. Dateline NBC had a hidden camera and even caught a US Citizen (A doctor), who was very open about his sexual exploits among teen girls. Here is a clip on it.

One of the headlines of this thread should change. The kids were as young as five years old not eight.

As a mother, when I was watching this video the only feeling I had was anger. Anger towards a country that do very little against pedophilia and sex tourism. Citizens that are willing to sell their own people for money. Kids who are being sexually abused as I write this post and pedophiles like the doctor shown on TV who walk freely the same streets than you and I walk and who MOST people consider a respected member of society because of a piece of paper hanging on his wall.

When I was looking at all those kids the feeling I had was of wanted to adopt ALL of them, bring them in my small apartment and take them away from all that abuse they have experienced since birth!

How on earth we have these demons in human form exploiting and abusing kids in this manner?

The video was horrible specially to see ANOTHER woman in charge of finding girls for these pedophiles.

Rather off topic, but... In the LDS section for those who are LDS there is a thread that talks about having more children in LDS homes, welcoming as many spirits as possible so they don't end up in bad homes and experience this kind of abuse. It makes a lot of sense to me.

The 'best' part of the full documentary was how they caught that US doctor working in Guam and secretly attending himself to these young girls. At the end of the documentary they caught him in the parking lot and he denied doing it even though he was shown the tape of him on hidden camera. He was not prosecuted by Cambodia (that should say something) but five States in the US (where he was his licensed), revoked his license to practice medicine after learning about his activities.

Torture them and kill them. It has been analyzed over and over. Sexual offenders, specifically pedophiles cannot be rehabilitated. What is the sense to send them to prison where they will be released one day and hurt more kids? Or if you are in Cambodia you just get a slap on your wrist?

I happen to watch this documentary and I couldn't believe the audacity of this guy to pretend that he was doing nothing and innocent even though he was caught on tape talking about his pedophile ways. What's worse is when the parents were involved and wanted to sell their daaughters just for some money how sick can you get? So it's not just the pedophiles to blame but it's largely their parents and the people of Cambodia. That's no place for children.
