I just saw this. What a very well produced movie. It seeks to put you into the shoes of Elizabeth I, queen of England and all that goes along with her title. This is not merely a movie about power but the personal struggles Elizabeth had as a childless virgin who had to govern amidst rumors and in some cases resentment. Historically I cannot answer for accuracy, but the back drop, costumes and music give you the feel of being right there in the Golden Age.
