The whole race issue in the USA as far as admissions go is strange for me. While I understand it the lengths people will go through to have a place in a reputable University is bordering illegal. Have a look at this case:

In truth, the way do things here is assinine. What we should do is give every admission a number and then remove all indication of race, nationality, or sexual preference and then do a fair assessment of each candidate. Not everyone can get into Princeton, Yale, or MIT. And by letting less qualified individuals get in to some of these more prestigious, and tougher, schools we do the everyone a disservice. We hurt the less qualified person by putting them in a school they may not be ready for. We hurt the person who worked hard to get the grades to make it and was replaced by someone with lower scores simply because of race or ethnicity. And we hurt the school system in our country because it is perceived as unfair.
