Briadia is startled to hear a tremendous crash. Jumping up she sees Arcad contending with Nikalaus and Tellias over their food supplies. Realizing what had happened she bends over laughing." Arcad, Arcad. You will make people think I never feed you."
She walks quickly over and pulls Arcad away in mid bite." I'm sorry everyone. I'm still working with him about not eating everything. Bears take a lot of food to keep going. I will hunt tomorrow and try to make up the difference. Fear not, we will not go hungry."
She looks in wonder at Elymas and the bow of light." That is truly wondrous. The ring as well. So much could be done with that."
Brathark looks to Elymas, "I think you my friend should use the ring. I am sure it will be of great benefit to you. The bow our huntress Briadia should have this weapon as it will save her using arrows. I know I am not the leader and only offering suggestions. But I feel that we have to come to some conclusion as to who we will be following due to three of our numbers wandering off on their own quests. Tellias, you have experience in combat and are used to being famous and all that goes with that. Elymas you are wise and have experiences in life that can make you a good candidate. Niklaus while you seem to be a entertainer I am not sure that you have the leadership qualities to keep us together. Please correct me if I am wrong. Briadia I do not know you that well except from what I have seen in our time together. You make a excellent scout and I feel our leader can use you for that. I think that our other three while they may disagree with me should not be considered for a leadership role as they abandoned the main quest in favor for their own quest. What do the rest of you think.
Manos laughs to himself briefly before explaining; "She is not my daughter, though I consider her my friend." He smiles towards her.
"I sadly have no children; I guess no woman was willing to settle for me." He laughs again, rough but pleasant, before waiting to hear Keitha's replies to the questions a smile on his face.

Tellias does his best to gather up as much food as possible whilst trying to shield what he can from Arcad. After he and Niklaus have salvaged what they can he listens intently to what Elymas has to say. "They will indeed prove most useful to our group. The ring I can see being used well by either Elymas or Photokles, dependent upon whether we wish it to store additional healing or offensive capabilities. I agree that Briadia would be most suited to the bow, even though she is very capable wielding her dual Xiphos, it never hurts to have a ranged capability in combat and I can assure you all that none are better than Amazons with the bow." He winks at Briadia as he turns back to Arcad.
"Arcad" (Laugh) "How can we be angry at you for doing what comes naturally. It is not you my friend I blame for eating the food, it is others who have left us in this position." He turns to the others after speaking to Arcad.
"I agree that we need a permanent leader. I would gladly take this role. I have been a leader of men and society for the last twelve months and am quite likely to be afforded the most respect in the lands we will need to travel. Although the past year has seen my leadership become more in politics and in tutoring & mentoring gladiators, I was, not so long ago, a leader in battle also. I think that qualifies me in more than one of the most desirable areas for leadership."
He pauses for a moment and then continues "However, if it is I you choose to be the groups leader I would request each person to fulfill a specific role and I would need at least two trusted advisers. For his wisdom and experience I would pick Elymas to be my left hand, guiding out of combat situations with his heart, mind and soul. For his admirable and respected place as one of the 300 I would ask Brathark to be my right hand, using his experience and tactical acumen to give guidance in battle."
He then looks to Briadia "Indeed Brathark is right in what he would have you do. I would ask of you, if I were leader, to be our eyes and ears on the path ahead and to be the tip of our spear when the time is needed for us to thrust into combat. With Arcad at your side you form a formidable duo, that I am more than happy to have at point, and eat our food." At this Tellias laughs as he looks at Arcad again.
Niklaus "I thought of you as a fool or entertainer when we first met. I can only apologize for my poor judgement and prejudice in making that mistake." He extends his hand in offer of an apology. "Although your music entertains and soothes us, I have seen first hand that it also has a multitude of purposes beyond that and I am glad to have you with us. There is a time for even the fiercest fighter to remember home, hearth and heart and your music fills ones mind with comforting thoughts and soothes ones soul after battle."
He returns his gaze to the rest of the group "As for the rest of our absent party, I do not blame Keitha for going with Manos after Photokles. She is young, not from these lands and followed he heart rather than her mind. These are sometimes admirable qualities, but they have to be used at the right time and place. As they say, her heart was in the right place if her head was not. I do not know as yet what role she could fill in our group, but I am sure her youthful exuberance will find its place and way among us."
He pauses a moment to smile, which then turns to a frown as he continues "As for Photokles, he is our spiritual guide, our direct link to the gods. He can offer sustenance when we are weak, find our spirit when we are lost. Last night he chose rashly and without thought for the group as a whole and of our mission, and I should of done more to stop him. But I was tired from the fight and impenitent towards his decision and Brathark's leadership in equal measure. This is my problem, and between us gathered here only, it is a weakness in my character that I strive to achieve and inspire and when I am left in the shadows I struggle to find my way sometimes. I know this, but it still takes my mind when I don't have counsel to correct my thinking." He offers his arm to Brathark in way of apology.
He looks at them all with a look of having admitting something very private, painful and almost shameful to him. Then he draws breath and continues "As for Manos… I don't know what place he will serve as yet in our group. If you have suggestions I would like to hear them, but for his actions last night, I would as soon have him following us to clean up the manure left by our mules than to entrust with the cart or anything else come to that matter. I was not overly impressed by his rashness in the battle or his decision to leave the group and chase after Photokles or to just dump our provisions on the ground. For someone of his years, you would of hoped he had a wiser head on his shoulders. Let us hope he proves more worthwhile and trustworthy of the gods grace and our groups need, than he has proven to be thus far."
Tellias then starts to move towards his mule to stash some of the food he saved. "Shall we have a quick breakfast before we leave? We can then talk over our thoughts about last night, our quest at hand, whether we should go after the other three or not, which I think we have to do in all reality, and of who we five should elect as this groups leader." He smiles as he waves a rather tasty looking loaf of bread in a circular motion.

Briadia reddens slightly at Tellias' praise. She listens thoughtfully as he and Brathark speak." I will be honored to take the bow if everyone feels the same way. Apparently I will need it today to make up for what Arcad did." She grins towards the bear who is falling asleep now with a very full stomach.
"As to the leadership question… you two have the right if it. The leader should come from one of the five that stayed. I wish to follow Tellias or Brathark. They are the easy choices. No one else in this group has the leadership qualities and battle experience that they do. I am torn between them. Brathark is thrice marked by the gods which may mean he is meant to be our leader. Tellias just made a marvelous speech about why he deserves it and how we would run things. His reasoning for who would have what role under him is flawless in my estimation. Very impressive. I must think more on this." She looks off as she considers." Let others share their opinions before I hastily make a decision."

Keitha smiles to herself, both in how the soldiers took to her as well the leader as well. The druid was thankful for their agreement to help look for Photokles once they got into the city, and listens as Kallikrates introduces himself. With the humor that was then offered between the men, the young woman will give the soft sounds of almost musical laughter.
On question of her accent with the mistake that Manos was her father, the druid will provide a more bashful look before admitting, “My home is much farther then Macedonia, and as already said by Manos we share not blood. We are traveling together though, and in truth I'm one from the Celt Tribes and had journeyed from there to the Grand Council in Sparta.” Keitha looks up towards the soldiers before her, a nod of her head.
To the request of news Keitha will offer, “If you seek news, we can discuss such things. Perhaps as we search for our companion?” The druid hopes they might be willing to help. That as they look for Photokles, the young woman could provide what she noticed during the fight and what had happened when they attacked the creatures before they disappeared and took with them captives.
Once they got started, Keitha will also offer a summery of what happened at the Grand Council, of how a few had been chosen by the gods though not revealing it was actually herself or her companions. For now, simply given the impression that Manos and herself had merely been there to see it all take place. Admittedly, having mentioned Delphi when first approaching the soldiers it is possible some might put two and two together if they know of the Oracle there.
Out of Character: Manos can interrupt or redirect parts the conversation to prevent some information to be revealed if it is felt prudent, as this was partly way I didn't go into exact detail of what Keitha says involving talking about their involvement in fighting off the creatures attacking Thebes or involving the Grand Council.

Niklaus shrugs and shakes Tellias' hand. "You're not wrong. I can be quite the fool, sometimes even intentionally." He pauses and addresses the entire group. "As for who should be our leader, the only thing I feel sure about is that none of those who left our group should have the position." He thinks for a few more moments. "I would probably follow whomever can show he or she can control those three wayward souls. So for now we must wait until we are reunited and discuss the whole situation. Come Arcad, let's finish this bag of olives you've torn open." He sits and alternates between eating an olive himself, and offering one or two to the hairy animal.
Brathark readies his mule as discussions are carried out. "Looks like you have a solid position and a new bow Briadia. Congratulations on being our scout. Now I suggest that we should head for the Oracle. The others knew where we were headed and they can join us there or on the road there. I do not see any reason as to why we should go the city of Thebes. I feel that we will not learn anything new there as to why the creatures are here or what their tactics are now that they are gone."
