Scientists discover brain area which can be targeted for treatment in patients with schizophrenia who 'hear voices'. For the first time, scientists have precisely identified and targeted an area of the brain which is involved in 'hearing voices,' experienced by many patients with schizophrenia. One would think that if they can cure the voices in ones head then would they still be schizophrenic? I do hope that this is something that can be cured for those who suffer this condition.

What if a person believes they hear voices and they are not schizophrenic? I was talking to someone about this the other day and she really believed she had another voice inside. And not just that one that is us that we argue with sometimes… another entity.

If it was another entity that could be dangerous if it is a evil entity and tells them to do bad things. IF it was a good entity then maybe they would be told some nice ways to helps others. I have wondered about that myself at times.

Hm, I would think that whether the entity is good or bad they should probably talk to a professional about it. Chances are it's nothing, but they should talk to someone.

Not necessarily needs to go talk to a professional. Some times the good voices can lead people to a place and time that they are really needed to help another or group of others.

RGR, I understand that… but if they hear voices and they think it is another entity then maybe one day they'll hear not so good voices. This is something that a professional should at least look at I would think. It's better to be safe than sorry.
