I think we are getting close to the point where our society as a whole is becoming corrupt. I mean, they talk about Louisville offering sex to players and prospects. That means they sexually exploited women to either keep players or get players. They should be slapped with huge fines and kicked out of a fees seasons of play.
Now we find out that Adidas is part of a scheme to bribe kids and their families to attend certain schools. So much for calling this amateur athletics. What it is is big business and people will do whatever it takes to make more money, even break the law and the protestations from the schools that they didn't know ring hollow to me.
This is how big colleges keep in the running with great recruits. It is a big business to see you college on top and more and more light is being shown to the underside of this business and how they stay on top or work to be on top. To offer cash to the families or girls as payments to stay in the programs is sad to see. Too bad this is so corrupt that nothing is fair anymore.
Yes, they make a tremendous amount of money and then they come out with some hogwash about our college maintains the highest ethical standards in our sports program and we don't condone these actions. The problem is, they turn a blind eye to these actions. They know what's going on, they just choose to ignore it. Worse, they make these assistant coaches do stuff like this because of the unrealistic targets they set for them… and then they have the gall to put out statements like that. They are absolutely the height of hypocrisy.
