Senate Intelligence Committee leaders say they've 'hit a wall' on verifying Christopher Steele's dossier on Trump. Senate Intelligence Chairman Richard Burr, R-N.C., said during an update on the status of the panel's Russia probe that the committee had been unable to get cooperation from Christopher Steele, the former British spy who compiled a dossier on Donald Trump and his alleged ties to the Russian government. The document, published online by Buzzfeed, alleges Russian operatives obtained potentially compromising personal and financial information about the Trump. Moscow has denied having any "Compromising materials" on Trump, who dismissed the reports as "Fake news." Burr made a public plea to Steele: "I strongly suggest that you come in and speak with us." Burr said the committee is still investigating whether there was collusion between Trump campaign officials and Russia during the presidential campaign. Ref. USAToday.

I think this guy will hold off on talking to congress unless he gets a payday. I think all of this work to try and prove something that CNN has reported as a wild goose chase but it gets ratings is beyond stupid. Why will they not investigate Killery like this? Are they afraid they will find something the public does not want to know?

Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigators met this past summer with the former British spy whose dossier on alleged Russian efforts to aid the Trump campaign spawned months of investigations that have hobbled the Trump administration, according to two people familiar with the matter.

Information from Christopher Steele, a former MI-6 officer, could help investigators determine whether contacts between people associated with the Trump campaign and suspected Russian operatives broke any laws.

CNN has learned that the FBI and the US intelligence community last year took the Steele dossier more seriously than the agencies have publicly acknowledged. James Clapper, then the director of national intelligence, said in a January 2017 statement that the intelligence community had "Not made any judgment that the information in this document is reliable." Why are we still following this obvious non issue news? Lets put the FBI on something more pressing to national security like making sure any other people who may want to do a mass shooting is caught before they do it. Or maybe look into the other candidate that did some much more dangerous things than our president did.
